BHARWAN TINDAE (STUFFED APPLE GOURDS)






SERVES THREE TO FOUR PEOPLE

Ingredients (Saamagree):


  • Tindae (Apple Gourd)- 500 gms.
  • Garlic Cloves 8-10
  • Chilli powder (As per taste)
  • Salt (as per taste)
  • Corriander powder - 1 Tbl. spn.
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 T.spn.
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 T.spn.
  • Sml. Tomatoes - 2
  • Curd - 1/2 Tbl. spn.
  • Cooking oil - 2 Tbl. spn.
Recipe (Vidhi):

Take apple gourd and scrape the peal, now put four equal size cuts to add spices to it while doing so do ensure that the vegetable remains intact.Put it aside.
Now take the pealed garlic cloves and crush those and add salt, chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala. mix it well once the spices are ready stuff it in the apple gourds(Tinda).

Prepare paste of the tomatoes and keep it aside.

Now put the pan on flame and add two table spoon oil to it. Once the pan is a bit heated add the apple gourd(tindaa), do ensure that the vegetable is mixed well in the pan so that it is wrapped in oil evenly. 

Cover the pan with lid and let it cook on low flame, from time to time keep on tossing it so that it is cooked evenly from all sides and attains light golden.

Once it attains the colour now add tomato paste to it and cook it well. Then add battered curd and cook it till the time it starts leaving oil.

Now turn off the gas and garnish it with finely chopped fresh corriander Leaves.
